There were countless times the action music would simply end right after a heavy engagement and the character would say his duke-nukumish-but-better one-liners. I'm always of the opinion that music is 60% or more of what makes a game successful and its why in this case I prefer Blood Dragon over far cry 3 proper. 11.

New Dawn: Yeah, there is the whole "some weapons aren't as good as others, weapon tier" thing, but aside from that, it's more Far cry.
