In the last couple of days my garmin 735xt battery had gone from always lasting at least a full day with 2 or 3 activities daily, to draining within 2 hours of charging. The screen started flickering in the last two weeks but the battery drain started 2 days ago. The watch is 3 years old in a few weeks.
